β¨ππͺ Videos & News Today β’ December 4, 2025
From the editor: During this holiday season, I want to quickly talk about something that matters to us. TKSST has always been free because we believe everyone deserves access to quality educational content, but keeping it that way takes real work and real resources. If the videos, news, and discoveries we've shared in 2025 have sparked curiosity in your home or classroom, would you consider becoming a member? For as little as $3 a month, your support will help us keep curating content that respects kids' intelligence, inspires wonder, and stays free for families who need it. No pressure, but if you've gotten value from what we do, this is how you can help us keep doing it: thekidshouldseethis.com/members
You can also help support TKSST by shopping from our popular Gift Guide. I've included some links to more of our favorites down below.

ππ€β¨ Here are a few more of our favorites from this year's TKSST Gift Guide:
From Rion: Tokyo-based Oink Games might be one of my favorite creators to watch for unusual and creative games. Their small boxes reveal engaging worlds and really fun interactions. DroPolter, for example, has you battling ghosts that are afraid of random objects that you'll need to drop from your palm one-handed. Drop the wrong objects = start over. Drop all the right objects first = get a bell. Drop a bell the next time, the ghost will steal it back. π»
I love the simplicity of this game, as well as it's precise physicality and fun gameplay.

From Rion: All the open-ended building magic of classic Magna-Tiles, shrunk down for adventures beyond home. This 55-piece travel set tucks into a sturdy metal tin that doubles as a building base, making it easier for restaurant tables, airplane tray tables, and the backseat. Mini translucent squares, rectangles, and three types of triangles click together with the same satisfying magnetism as their full-sized versions, letting young engineers construct on the go.

NEW FOR 2025 β¬οΈ From Rion: Write down as many words as you can in 45 seconds, but watch out, because Alphabuzzle is like if Fluxx met Scattergories: the rules and letters keep changing so no two rounds play the same. I'm not sure this game is on anyone's radar, but it's quick to learn, endlessly replayable, and adaptable for different ages and skill levels, so it's definitely on my list.
