After a 20-year search, digital designer Owen Davies finally rediscovered this 1936 Happy Harmonies Halloween cartoon on the Internet Archive. In Bottles, an elderly pharmacist falls asleep and his poison bottle springs to life as a cackling skeleton that douses him with shrinking chemicals.

 

Artist and puppet maker Laura Mathews designs and builds articulated animal sculptures and puppets that move with lifelike precision. Drawing on her study of real anatomy and biomechanics, she brings each creature to life with wood, leather, string, wire, and 3D-printed details.
